Consumption

I’ve just had another eating disorder attack.

This is starting to really consume me. One day, I’m all healthy and well. The next, my eating disorder wins over my life. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how I can take control of this problem, but it’s getting out of hand. I feel sick and I feel gross and I hate myself right now. It sucks to feel this way.

  1. You know what you do? You live. You live doing the mundane, everyday things, and you keep going. You don’t wait for happiness or some magic light to go on. You don’t dwell on “attacks” or even think about them. You are healthy. You are whole. You may feel gross, but you aren’t gross. There is a big difference. And, don’t worry about controlling this. It’s not about control, because control is so fragile. This is about one step at a time, one minute at a time. It’s about stepping outside of yourself and thinking about others. It works.
